Head of Quality Control

I am currently recruiting for a Head of Quality in Runcorn, this is a really exciting opportunity as you will be the 1st hire within Quality Control. The company I am working with, specialise in inhalation and respiratory drugs, so a great chance to get involved with one of the niches within pharmaceuticals. This is an important role for the business 3 teams reporting to you, Quality Control, Raw Materials and Microbiology, reporting to the Director of Quality, this is a great opportunity for an established Quality Control Manager to propel and develop their career even further.

Responsibilities for the Head of Quality Control

  • Lead the Quality Control Team and manage the daily operations within the Laboratory.
  • Develop, execute and qualify the new QC Laboratory equipment and methods, Instrument Qualification and Method Validation.
  • Raw Material analysis, Qualification and in-coming goods compliance.
  • Analysis on finished products and batch release of these.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure any out of specification and deviations and actioned according and allocated.
  • Working with cross functional teams across the business for on-going projects and development
  • Recruitment, training and development of the QC staff, an exciting part of this role, is you will build your team!

Experience & Qualifications required for the Head of Quality Control

  • BSc within a Scientific subject
  • 10+ Years experience within Pharmaceutical Quality Control and 5 years of management.
  • Inhalation experience, will be an advantage.
