Are you a computational chemist looking for a new exciting role?

Or have you recently graduated with a PhD in Computational Chemistry?

If so, then this Computational Chemistry role might just be for you! This is a fantastic opportunity to join an up and coming drug discovery company as the start their expansion.

This Computational Chemist role is remote if preferred.

This Computational Chemistry position requires a deep understanding of computational chemistry methods and their application in the pharmaceutical industry, with the successful candidate being responsible for using advanced computational techniques to model molecular interactions, predict the behaviour of drug candidates, and design novel compounds with optimised properties.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, including medicinal chemists, biologists, and pharmacologists, to integrate computational insights with experimental data. Your work will directly influence the design and optimisation of lead compounds, helping to drive our drug discovery projects forward.

What are the responsibilities?

  • Molecular Modelling: Perform molecular dynamics simulations, quantum mechanical calculations, and molecular docking studies to predict and optimise the interactions between small molecules and biological targets.
  • Drug Design: Utilise structure-based and ligand-based drug design techniques to identify and optimise lead compounds.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse computational chemistry data and experimental results to provide insights and guide the drug discovery process.
  • Software Development: Develop and implement computational tools and workflows to streamline drug discovery efforts.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on research findings for internal and external stakeholders.

Who are they looking for?

PhD in Computational Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry or equivalent industry experience within Drug Discovery or Biotech sectors.
